I integrate neuroscience, behavioral and clinical science, and advanced data-analytic methods to develop quantitative, interpretable measures of mental health processes, with a current focus on therapeutic change and treatment response in anxious youth.
A core challenge in mental health research and care is measurement.
Clinically meaningful processes—including stress, reward learning, cognitive control, and therapeutic change—unfold dynamically over time and are not fully captured by conventional symptom measures. My research develops quantitative, interpretable approaches to characterize these processes across behavioral, physiological, neural, speech, and clinical data, with the goal of advancing mental health research and improving the evaluation of treatment response.
